Reasons Why

Hello ,

As we kick off a new year, I'm inspired by the diversity of stories I hear about Library connections. There truly is something for everyone at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, and those relationships change throughout our lives. We hear often from authors, donors, friends and colleagues about how a childhood library or librarian helped them grow into readers, writers, and confident adults. We hear stories of people who return throughout their lives - as students, parents, professionals and retirees, and at each point they discover a new relationship. Your Library is here for you, in whatever way you need it, at every stage of life.

Below, a longtime supporter shares the Library experience that inspired him to increase his gift. We'd love to know what inspires you - tell us your story here

This month, your Library is collecting Library love stories of all kinds to be shared in February on the Library's website and social media channels. We'd love to include yours.

As always, thank you for your friendship and for staying connected.

Warmly,
