This week, North Carolinians took the first tentative steps into phase one of reopening. Many wonder what this means for Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.

Your Library is looking ahead too - in fact, we’ve been looking ahead all along. From the moment our physical locations closed, there has been a team in place developing, reviewing and revising plans to deliver services virtually in the short term, and scenarios and stages for reopening in the longer term. The priority has always been on safety – for customers and for staff.

While we don’t yet have a firm reopening date, you can learn more about what to expect here.

Even while apart, our community has supported and protected one another in so many ways – from wearing masks and sharing resources to staying home. We look forward to being together again, and until then we thank you for your patience, understanding, and for continuing to support your Library and each other.
