Hello ,
There’s big news today, and if you haven’t heard it already I’m thrilled to tell you: Charlotte Mecklenburg Library locations will reopen Monday, June 1!
I couldn’t be more proud of the way our Library has operated throughout this crisis, and the careful, phased approach we’re taking to reopening. At every step, the health and safety of our staff and community have been the highest priority, and that will continue in the coming weeks and months. In addition to the gradual reintroduction of in-person Library services, we will continue to grow the digital programs and resources many in the community have discovered and enjoyed as an option for access.
The Library Foundation will also continue digital programming. Thousands have viewed the ten episodes of Final Draught: Home Edition, and yesterday’s Happy Hour with HarperCollins was wildly popular as well. While we look forward to a return to in-person events, for now we appreciate not only the safety of the digital format, but also the expanded, inclusive reach it makes possible.
Thank you for your support and your continued engagement during these trying times – we look forward to seeing you again soon at your Library!
