Looking Ahead

Hello ,

The groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter but here in Charlotte daffodils are blooming, spring is coming, and there’s a lot to look forward to.

Last week we hosted the first of 2021’s Final Draught at Home series. Author Lisa Leake talked about 100 Days of Real Food, health and wellness, and left us inspired to eat better. Until it’s safe to gather in person, we’ll continue to bring the authors to you virtually - please join us February 23 for a Final Draught conversation with Theresa Payton about cybersecurity.

At your Library, we’re all excited about Community Read. This March, we invite everyone in the community to “get on the same page” and participate in programs and discussions for all ages around issues of social justice inspired by Community Read titles. Pledge to participate here.

You’ll be hearing a lot more about building community in the coming weeks, as we launch a campaign meant to do just that, one neighbor at a time.

All of this is possible because of you – your generosity, partnership and commitment to our shared future.

Thank you,
