Hello ,
Someone once advised me that it’s never too late to take on a new challenge, because time will pass whether you use it or not. That’s true even in quarantine - time marches on. Some days may feel slow and repetitive, but we can still make something of it.
Fitness challenges, home improvement projects and sourdough are all impressive enough, but every so often I hear a standout quarantine tale – and local author Tracy Curtis is one of them. Below, Tracy shares how she’s used her quarantine time to read and learn purposefully, studying a variety of story structures to inform her own writing. And as expected, it’s a great list featuring some Library Foundation favorites!
When libraries closed in March, we were in the 3rd quarter of our fiscal year. As we approach a phased reopening, we are nearing the fiscal year end and unsurprisingly we haven't yet met our annual fundraising goals. We know times are uncertain, but if you can make a gift of any size before June 30, your investment today will help improve lives and build a stronger community for a lot more tomorrows.
Stay well, and thank you for your ongoing commitment to our Library and our community,
Jenni Gaisbauer, CFRE Executive Director
