OCTOBER E-NEWS

While walking to my car a few days ago, I observed a boy run up the sidewalk to ImaginOn. The automatic door didn’t respond as quickly as he expected it would, and I heard him cry aloud “No! The Library is never closed!” His relief was palpable when the door slid open.

I smiled, but I can’t stop thinking about the serious sentiment behind his words. This community relies on our Library – as a place to study, socialize, learn, question, and grow. We need the Library individually, and even more we need it as a community. We need a place where everyone is welcome, where people from all walks of life can freely access resources, information, and opportunity, and where the doors of opportunity are always open.

As we scramble around the office in preparation for Verse & Vino and EpicFest, it’s easy to get lost in the details and forget the big picture. Our Library is essential.

Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you over literary weekend.

With warm appreciation,

Jenni Gaisbauer, CFRE
Executive Director
