"My Charlotte Mecklenburg LIbrary story is that you published my first novel through Novello Press!" - Miriam Herin, author and Library supporter
Libraries are filled with stories - written and unwritten - and in a recent fundraising mailing we asked donors to share their personal library stories. We heard from patrons who told us how important library resources were during periods of unemployment, and from parents who brought kids to the Library for years and now recognize their grown children are passionate readers becauseof that experience. We even heard from a supporter who is from India, and told us the thing he will miss most when he returns home is our Library system.
Libraries make a difference for real people every day, and this treasured resource requires year-round support. I'm so touched by this community's generosity, from all walks of life and every corner of our County. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to support the Library this year, please consider becoming a monthly donor to provide dependable funding throughout the year.
At its heart, our Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is about a community of people. If you have a Library story to share, I'd love to hear it. We appreciate your investment, and hope to see you at one of our upcoming programs.
Warmly,
Jenni Gaisbauer, CFRE
Executive Director
