More Impact Together
We could not be more inspired by this community.
Your Library and Library Foundation just closed another fiscal year, and we are grateful to report it was a year of progress and impact.
With a combination of public support and private investment from individuals, corporations and foundations, your Library continues to grow and thrive. We are grateful to Mecklenburg County for providing 90% of the Library's annual operating expenses, and their investment in current capital projects:
- A renovated North County Regional Library will reopen this fall
- Plans are underway for renovation at South County Regional
- Relocation and expansion of Scaleybark Library will be completed this calendar year
- A mobile library vehicle will launch soon, bringing Library services to every corner of Mecklenburg County
With support from private gifts, the Library Foundation has invested in Community Read, college and career readiness for teens, digital literacy for older adults, early literacy initiatives, technology and innovation and so much more.
At a time when our world seems increasingly divided in many ways, we are humbled and grateful that our Library continues to unite the community we share.
Thank you for helping your Library improve lives and build a stronger community. It's only possible together.
Warmly,
Lee Keesler CEO, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library
Jenni Gaisbauer, CFRE Executive Director, Library Foundation
