"Access to knowledge is the superb, the supreme act of truly great civilizations. Of all the institutions that purport to do this, free libraries stand virtually alone in accomplishing this mission.”

-Toni Morrison

Last week I stopped at a traffic light beside a convertible with the top down. I looked over and realized the driver wasn’t cruising to music – she was listening to an audiobook! I smiled for the rest of my commute, thinking about just how embedded literacy and libraries are in this community.

This is reflected every year at Verse & Vino. Our signature fundraising event has grown every year, and we expect a capacity crowd at the Convention Center on November 7. This year, in addition to a program featuring New York Times best-selling authors, we’ll be sharing big news that will impact this region’s literary landscape for generations. You’ll want to be there.

Thank you for your continued investment in improving lives and building a stronger community. We’ll see you at Verse & Vino – and until then, keep reading!

Warmly,
