Early Thanksgiving

Hello ,

With less than two weeks until Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for.

Verse & Vino is our Library Foundation’s unofficial kickoff to the holiday season, and last week’s event felt perfectly timed.

Only days after a deeply divided election, in the midst of ongoing racial tension and a global pandemic, over 1,200 people in homes, offices and backyardssome hundreds of miles away – found joyful reprieve in the possibility and the promise of libraries and books.

This year’s digital format was possible because of the talent, flexibility and creativity of an incredible team of staff, volunteers and vendor partners, with the generous support of our sponsors and this community. You made it happen.

In a year like no other, Verse & Vino is a powerful reminder of what endures – our Library’s ability to bring people together around our shared commitment to the importance of free access to trusted information, opportunity and connection – to improving lives and building a stronger community. Thank you for sharing that commitment and investing in your Library – this year and every year.

We’re so grateful to celebrate this season with you,
