More Than One Countdown

Hello ,

The countdown is on - for so much! Verse & Vino is less than two weeks away. If you haven't made plans yet, consider joining the crowd at Town Brewing Co. Brian Kahn of Charlotte Squawks will host the Red Carpet preshow from there, and guests will be among the first to taste the new CommonSpark beer - more on that below!

We're also counting down to the closing of Main Library next week. It's bittersweet, but mostly sweet because this brings us a big step closer to the new Library we've all been dreaming of and working towards.

But first, join us to say goodbye to Main - with a celebration that will be One for the Books. Come see Main Library once more November 6, 7, 13 or 14. Take a walk through time with an audiotour through the building, write messages on the walls, bid on a piece of history in the memorabilia auction (yes, the quotes from the columns are available!), watch an international muralist create an ode to knowledge, participate in "24 Hours of Booky," make a date with yourself at the new Main, enjoy book giveaways and so much more. It's free, fun, and once-in-a-generation.

We'll meet you at Main.

Warmly,
